Coors Light wanted to show how working a day job or 9-to-5 doesn’t have to constrain and limit you, how adventure is always out there for the willing, and how to always be forward looking, ready for opportunities to push yourself and get out there. The theme of this campaign was that the adventure is in the journey, not the destination.
It was a blast to help out with this campaign. The job was put together extremely quickly, and I was responsible for scouting location, logistics, finding equipment, hiring additional help, putting together the story and vision, photos, videos, and much more. I decided to showcase the intended theme and message by kayaking with friends out to this small island in the Puget Sound after the work day. The whole thing was shot in quite a limited amount of time, considering the storyline was set to take place between about 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with a little bit of re-shooting and wiggle room during other hours of the same day and next day. There were 17 final assets delivered to the client, including behind-the-scenes Instagram Story videos, one full cinematic video, and many photos.
